Why?

That's right, beam me up, God! But not until we're all on board. :) I'm in this world, but no longer "of" it. It is now one big "away mission".

I could draw soooo many parallels, but would probably end up taking myself waaayyyy too seriously, and then I'd finish the post having created a Star Trek doctrine, and that would just be embarrassing.

Let's just say that I wanted to get in on the "blogmania", but had no idea what to call my blog. I kept thinking of these wonderful, lofty titles and then shuddered at the thought of having to attain to them. You see, I know myself. If I gave my blog a lofty title, I would never post because I would rarely feel like I could reach the standard I had set for myself. "Beam Me Up, God", though, has LOTS of breathing room! (And so does the true relationship with Jesus...not lofty religious standards.)

Welcome aboard Princess Lea! You don't have to have anything lofty to say -- look at my blog! At times, utter nonsense!

Enjoyed seeing you and Harrison. What a stunning couple!
Persecution has begun on many fronts and we need to be sure the fire does not go out. Every day from here on is the day to shine for Jesus.

I Just Now Realized that the Blog Entries that I'm Responding to were Written in 2008. I Guess I'm not Very Observant. I do Hope, though, that you are Still Around. As for me, I Just Posted Again Recently after a Break of more than a Year.

I'm having a Little Trouble Finding my Focus, though. Should I be more Political, or more Religious. I'm just not Sure any More.

Your Creative Title is what Brought me Here, so it was a Good Choice.

I Can Relate to so much of what you said in this Post. I Also do not Want the be "Beamed Up", or shall I say I don't want the Lord to Return Until "We're all on Board."

And I Also have Trouble Posting because I Wonder if I am Attaining to as High a Standard as I Should. I Guess we Need to Keep Our "Lofty Religious Standards" Balanced with the "Easy-Believism" and "Free Grace Theology" that was mentioned by Yuce Kabakci on a Later Post.

One of my Favorite Scriptures is...

"Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit, for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life." (2 Corinthians 3:6, KJV)

Verses Like this, as well as Ephesians 2:8 & 9, Need to be Balanced with James 2:17 "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." (KJV), yet the Over Emphasis on Works is Just as Bad as the Over Emphasis on Grace. The Bible Presents a Balance. We are the Ones who Feel such a Need all the Time to Lean Towards One Extreme or the Other.

I Hope you are Still Out There, because I Read your Blog and I Like You.

Keep the Faith.
