Art Work: A Little Show :)

I thought I'd post a little show of "left-over" art that I never gave away (for the most part, although a few were commissioned.) Some drawings, water colors, and a couple paintings. These are not what I would call my "thematic work", but they were lots of fun. If I can ever manage to get my professional slides converted to digital, I'll post my crazy stuff. :)

You're on. :) I need to buy a laptop for seminary, so I'll take as many commissions as I can get. :) Bring a favorite pic for me on Sunday.

WHAT!!!!!! No dogs playing poker? No "Elvis: the jumpsuit years" on velvet? No kittens, puppies and children with giagantic sad eyes? And you call yourself an artist!

Seriously -- I love the one of Jenn (partial). It really captures her. Is that your mom on the couch? That's great.

Kim, thanks for visiting. :)
I have the kitchen painting on my wall right now. It never dawned on me to sell it, but if you like it, I'd be willing. You should see it in person first. (I was having lighting issues when I took the picture. The original is brighter than the photo.) If you want, I can bring it to church on Sunday. Just let me know. :)

Kathy, nope...sorry, no Elvis in rhinestones as of yet! :) Thanks for your comments.

Yes, that's Mumsy on the couch. It never fails when she watches tv. Two minutes and she's out like a light. It's great for me b/c there is NO better subject than one who is not moving! (If you're ever in my presence and want to be drawn, just fall asleep and you'll be a magnet for my pencil.)

And if you look closely, she's got a dog on her lap...albeit, he's not playing poker! LOL

Hey Christine!

Sorry I haven't been back here in a few days! I'd hate to take the kitchen drawing from you but if you'd be willing to sell it I'd love to see it! :) I won't be at church this Sunday (July 6th) since I'll be out of town but I can check back with you next week to see if you can bring it to church. I love drawings of interior settings like inside homes, kitchens, living rooms, etc.! Let me know what you think and I'll be back soon!

Kim, I'll bring it to church Sunday after next. I am willing to sell it if you like it. :) If you don't, no worries, I'll just stick it back up on my wall next to my snazzy decor of junked up bookcases.

I love the generation_oil picture! That is beautiful. How much would you sell it for?

Hey Julie! Welcome to blogging!!!
We miss you down here in Katy.

I've always hated pricing paintings, because it's so subjective. Normally for a painting of this size and quality, anywhere from $175 to $350 is appropriate. But since you and Jeremy are dear people who I love, I am willing to give it to you for far less if you want it. You should know, however, that there is actually a lot more green in the painting than what shows up in the photo. The darker areas are actually kind of a hunter green. If you are interested, I'll try to take a better picture of it and email it to you. (It looks great next to any green plant!)
